For this project we had to take a photo that can be used for the cover of the book we read over the summer. I read The Picture of Dorian Gray which is about a man named Dorian who lives his life obsessed with youth and beauty. I chose to use a yellow book because in the story because Dorian follows the ideals in this book. In the beginning of the story Dorian gets a portrait painted of him and though he stays young and beautiful, the portrait does not. At the end, Dorian stabs the painting and ends up lying on the floor looking old and ugly while the painting looks youthful and lovely. It was hard for me to think of an idea but i wanted to use the yellow book from the beginning because that was what caused Dorian to live the way he did. I used Marina's hands and blended in rinkles to make the hand look old and ugly. I also used a photo filter to make the picture less sharp. I think that my picture could have come out way better but overall, it has meaning and looks interesting. <3
